MINUTES <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br />BOARD OF ETHICS <br />THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2023, 5 P.M. <br />VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON MEETING <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />Chair Stahovich, Members De Herrera, DeMont, Foley, <br />Foreman, Newman, and Vega <br />Member Huerta <br />Eva Arseo and Susan Wilson <br />Chair Stahovich convened the meeting at 5:05 p.m. <br />Members led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There was no one wishing to address the Board. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Foreman and seconded by Member De Herrera to <br />approve the Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions <br />appropriate to each item. The motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 1, 2022, were approved as presented. <br />The Board of Ethics excused the absence of Member Vega from the December 1, <br />2022, meeting. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />REPORT ON INCLUSIVENESS, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND GOVERNMENTAL <br />PROCESSES COMMITTEE AND CITY COUNCIL ANNUAL REVIEW OF CODE OF ETHICS <br />AND CONDUCT UPDATE AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Chair Stahovich gave an update on the Inclusiveness, Community Engagement, <br />and Governmental Processes Committee and City Council annual review of <br />Code of Ethics and Conduct. <br />AD HOC COMMITTEE REVIEW AND PROGRESS REGARDING STANDING RULES <br />The Board noted that Vice Chair Newman is on the ad hoc committee. <br />1 <br />
