I respectfully request your support and VOTE for Map A4A and
adopt it as a new Ward map for the City of Riverside.
The Brown and Black Redistricting Alliance needs to be commended for their leadership and submission of
Map A4A. They have worked diligently with the community to develop this fair Ward Map. The Alliance
consists of over 21 signatories organizations and community leaders active in this redistricting cycle. The
alliance is arguably the most effective group in this redistricting process.
• Recognizes that our city is composed of a Latino Majority with 56.3% of the population.
• This map respects that there are 4 Majority wards
• Map A4 A- respects that the Wards comprise a Latino Citizen Voting Age Population of at least
52% in Wards 1, 5, 6 & 7
• The Wards are equal in population
• This map has a total deviation of 6.5% which is under the criteria of 10%
• This map respects the divisions of neighborhoods and communities of interest
• 17 neighborhoods are together; this is at the request of the Community Members who are asking
CITY COUNCIL for better representation.
My family and I have lived in our Arlington residence for over 50 years where I developed a
neighborhood watch group. We staunchly support Map A4A because it best represents our communities of
interests. Please vote to support Map A4A. Thank you.
Best Regards,
Frances J.
