BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES MINUTES MONDAY, JANUARY 9, 2023, 6:30 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE City fArts&,Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER 3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 PRESENT: Chair David Crohn, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware, and Board Members Nipunjeet Gujral, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, Gary Montgomery, Gil Oceguera, and Peter Wohlgemuth ABSENT: None Chair Crohn called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Member Oceguera led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE Tom Evans spoke regarding Riverside Accelerating Clean Energy by 2040 (RACE/2040) Study and contract. Jason Hunter spoke regarding an upcoming rate case, a committee or ad hoc committee regarding non -rate payer revenue, and bond funds. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Member Melendez and seconded by Member Oceguera to approve the Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The motion carried unanimously. MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of December 12, 2022, were approved as presented. ABSENCE The Board of Public Utilities excused the absence of Chair Crohn from the December 12, 2022, meeting. WORK ORDER 2225902 - MONTEEL PLACE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT The Board of Public Utilities approved the increased expenditure of $72,000 for Work Order 2225902 for a revised total of $306,000 for all engineering, construction, paving, and construction contingency costs for the Monteel Place Water Main Replacement Project. DISCUSSION CALENDAR WORK ORDER 2116992 - SUGARLOAF BOOSTER STATION TO PRESSURE REDUCING STATION CONVERSION PROJECT Following discussion, it was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member Gujral to approve Work Order 2116992 in the total amount of $464,000 for engineering, construction, paving, and construction contingency costs for the Sugarloaf Booster Station to Pressure Reducing Station Conversion Project. The motion carried unanimously.
