BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 9, 2023, 6:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City fArts&,Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair David Crohn, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware, and Board Members <br />Nipunjeet Gujral, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, Gary Montgomery, <br />Gil Oceguera, and Peter Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: None <br />Chair Crohn called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Member Oceguera led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Tom Evans spoke regarding Riverside Accelerating Clean Energy by 2040 (RACE/2040) Study <br />and contract. Jason Hunter spoke regarding an upcoming rate case, a committee or ad <br />hoc committee regarding non -rate payer revenue, and bond funds. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Melendez and seconded by Member Oceguera to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 12, 2022, were approved as presented. <br />ABSENCE <br />The Board of Public Utilities excused the absence of Chair Crohn from the December 12, 2022, <br />meeting. <br />WORK ORDER 2225902 - MONTEEL PLACE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />The Board of Public Utilities approved the increased expenditure of $72,000 for Work <br />Order 2225902 for a revised total of $306,000 for all engineering, construction, paving, and <br />construction contingency costs for the Monteel Place Water Main Replacement Project. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />WORK ORDER 2116992 - SUGARLOAF BOOSTER STATION TO PRESSURE REDUCING STATION <br />CONVERSION PROJECT <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member Gujral <br />to approve Work Order 2116992 in the total amount of $464,000 for engineering, construction, <br />paving, and construction contingency costs for the Sugarloaf Booster Station to Pressure <br />Reducing Station Conversion Project. The motion carried unanimously. <br />
