1 ORDINANCE NO. 7622 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 10.56.050 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE TO 3 ESTABLISH AXLE RESTRICTIONS ON LA SIERRA AVENUE. 4 5 The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows: 6 Section 1: Section 10.56.050 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended to read 7 as follows: 8 “Section 10.56.050 Commercial vehicles exceeding three (3) axles prohibited from using certain streets. 9 When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall operate any commercial 10 vehicle exceeding three (3) axles at any time upon any of the streets or parts of streets 11 listed below, except that such vehicle may be operated thereon for the purpose of delivering or picking up materials or merchandise or the performance of services in 12 connection with and in aid of a property in the block, and then only by entering such street at the intersection nearest the destination of the vehicle and proceeding thereon no 13 farther than the nearest intersection thereafter: 14 Exceeding Three (3) Axles: 15 Name of Street Limits of Prohibition 16 Alessandro Boulevard Central Avenue to Trautwein Road 17 . . . 18 La Sierra Avenue Southerly limits to the SR-91 Freeway 19 . . .” 20 Section 2: The City Council has reviewed the matter and, based upon the facts and 21 information contained in the staff reports, administrative record, and written and oral testimony, 22 hereby finds that this ordinance is not subject to CEQA pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2), 23 15060(c)(3) and/or 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, 24 Title 14, chapter 3, in that it will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical 25 change in the environment nor have a significant impact on the environment. Furthermore, 26 pursuant to Section 15301(c), it is exempt from further review as an operation, repair, 27 maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of an existing public street. 28 Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause City Attorney’s Office 3750 University Avenue Riverside, CA 92501 (951) 826-5567 1
