City of Arts &Innovation <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES <br />February 1, 2021 <br />February 1, 2021, 2:00 p.m. <br />Virtual Meeting <br />Public Comment Via Telephone <br />3900 Main Street <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilwoman Erin Edwards, Jennifer Gamble Steve Lech, <br />Nancy Parrish, Charles Tobin <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br />Mary Kopaskie-Brown, City Planner <br />Patricia Brenes, Principal Planner <br />Anthony Beaumon, Deputy City Attorney <br />Scott Watson, Associate Planner <br />Frances Andrade, Project Assistant <br />Chair Edwards called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br />COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE: <br />There were no comments at this time. <br />ELECTION OF OFFICERS: <br />Scott Watson, Historic Preservation Officer, stated that on February 7, 2020 Councilmember <br />Edwards was elected Chair of the HPFC. The Committee continued the election of Vice -Chair to <br />allow staff to verify that a Vice -Chair was listed as an officer on the Committee's Rules for the <br />Transaction of Business. Staff has confirmed this and added this to the agenda today. <br />Chair Edwards opened up the meeting for nominations for Vice -Chair <br />Committee Member Tobin asked to continue the Vice -Chair elections to the next meeting. It was <br />unknown at the time if the elections today would elect the Vice -Chair until March, 2021 or a new <br />one year term ending 2022. He also inquired if there was a limit to the number of terms an <br />individual can serve. <br />Committee Member Gamble also noted that new members would be appointed to the Historic <br />Preservation Fund Committee as well. <br />Anthony Beaumon, Deputy City Attorney, noted that the rules do not indicate that there is a limit <br />in the number of terms that can be served for the Historic Preservation Fund Committee.
