CITY' OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNCILMEMBERS Minutes of: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Date of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council 1 p.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall March 16, 2004 WARDS Roll Call: ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE There were no oral comments presented at this time. Councilmember Adkison was disqualified from participating in the closed sessions due to a financial conflict of interest. CLOSED SESSIONS The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for closed sessions pursuant to Government Code, {}54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning (1) two cases of anticipated litigation; and (2) one case of anticipated litigation. City Attorney Priamos announced there were no reportable actions taken on the closed sessions. RECESS The City Council recessed at 2:05 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. with the Mayor and all Councilmembers present. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PLANNING REFERRALS ANt) APPEALS P03-1266 - APPEAL - REZONING - 1064 LA CADENA - CONTINUED Hearing was called on the appeal of Craig Yocum of the Planning Commission's failure to approve his request to place approximately .89 acre developed with an office building and related parking area at 1064 La Cadena Drive situated on the southeasterly side of La Cadena Drive southwesterly of Palmyrita Avenue in Zone M-2. Following discussion, the City Council continued the hearing to 3 p.m. on April 13, 2004. CASE P03-1493 - REZONING - 1210-1220 SPRING - ORD. INTRODUCED Hearing was called on the proposed rezoning by Carter Redish, on behalf of VlietsraJlietco Enterprises, to place approximately .36 vacant acre at 1210- 1220 Spring Street situated on the southerly side of Spring Street and easterly of Iowa Avenue in Zone MP-SP and remove same from Zone R-3-R. No one was present wising to speak on the matter. No written protests were presented. The public hearing was officially closed. The City Council (1) upheld the decision of the Planning Commission in approving Case P03- 1493 with modifications and subject to conditions; (2) adopted the staff report and environmental assessment as findings; (3) upheld the Planning Commission's determination that the project would not have a significant effect on the environment and concurred in the adoption of a Mitigated 89-338 Present Motion Second All Ayes
