CITY' OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />1 p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />March 16, 2004 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no oral comments presented at this time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Adkison was disqualified from participating in the closed <br />sessions due to a financial conflict of interest. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for <br />closed sessions pursuant to Government Code, {}54956.9 to confer with <br />and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning (1) two cases of <br />anticipated litigation; and (2) one case of anticipated litigation. City Attorney <br />Priamos announced there were no reportable actions taken on the closed <br />sessions. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 2:05 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. with the <br />Mayor and all Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PLANNING REFERRALS ANt) APPEALS <br /> <br />P03-1266 - APPEAL - REZONING - 1064 LA CADENA - CONTINUED <br />Hearing was called on the appeal of Craig Yocum of the Planning <br />Commission's failure to approve his request to place approximately .89 acre <br />developed with an office building and related parking area at 1064 La Cadena <br />Drive situated on the southeasterly side of La Cadena Drive southwesterly of <br />Palmyrita Avenue in Zone M-2. Following discussion, the City Council <br />continued the hearing to 3 p.m. on April 13, 2004. <br /> <br />CASE P03-1493 - REZONING - 1210-1220 SPRING - ORD. INTRODUCED <br />Hearing was called on the proposed rezoning by Carter Redish, on behalf of <br />VlietsraJlietco Enterprises, to place approximately .36 vacant acre at 1210- <br />1220 Spring Street situated on the southerly side of Spring Street and <br />easterly of Iowa Avenue in Zone MP-SP and remove same from Zone R-3-R. <br />No one was present wising to speak on the matter. No written protests were <br />presented. The public hearing was officially closed. The City Council <br />(1) upheld the decision of the Planning Commission in approving Case P03- <br />1493 with modifications and subject to conditions; (2) adopted the staff report <br />and environmental assessment as findings; (3) upheld the Planning <br />Commission's determination that the project would not have a significant <br />effect on the environment and concurred in the adoption of a Mitigated <br /> <br />89-338 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
