CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2022, 1 P.M. <br />• PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City ?fArts &Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, <br />and Perry and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Hemenway <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m. <br />Councilmember Perry gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Marian Haworth spoke regarding assistance with homelessness. Paula Horychuck spoke <br />regarding resignation from Cultural Heritage Board. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards reported on Downtown Neighborhood Alliance holiday party, <br />Chanukah Festival, and her election to the Board of Governance Continuum of Care. <br />Councilmember Cervantes reported on Lincoln Park and Eastside Neighborhood joint <br />meeting, Casa Blanca Action Community Group pot luck, International Relations Council <br />Delegation, Lincoln Park toy drive, and Chanukah Festival. Councilmember Conder <br />reported on the 24th Annual Latino Network Nuestra Navidad Breakfast, Casa Blanca <br />Action Group holiday potluck, Ali Mazarei and family coat giveaway, 18th annual <br />Chanukah Festival, and Mexico/USA Anniversary. Councilwoman Plascencia reported on <br />Flannel and Flapjack breakfast at Hunt Park, Love Thy Neighbor toy giveaway, and the <br />3rd annual gift card collection drive. Councilmember Perry reported on Northgate <br />Gonzalez toy giveaway, Annual Police Explorers award ceremony, and water heater <br />replacement for a family in need by Habitat for Humanity. Mayor Lock Dawson <br />announced the State of the City Address on January 26, 2023, and wished everyone a <br />Happy Holiday Season. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE <br />There was no update on Intergovernmental relations and legislation. <br />HOMELESS SOLUTIONS UPDATE <br />There was no update on homeless solutions. <br />
