1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />CITY ATFORNYY'S OFFICE <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />(951) 826-5567 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23933 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE FOR CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />MEMBERS IN ITS ENTIRETY BY REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 23655, <br />WHICH AMENDMENT IS TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ADOPTION. <br />WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act, Government Code Section 81000, et seq., requires <br />state and local government agencies to adopt and promulgate conflict of interest codes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted a regulation, 2 <br />California Code of Regulations Section 18730, et seq., which contains the terms of a standard <br />conflict of interest code; and <br />WHEREAS, such standard terms can be incorporated by reference and may be amended <br />by the Fair Political Practices Commission after public notice and hearings to conforn to <br />amendments in the Political Reform Act. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside as <br />follows: <br />1. The terms of 2 California Code of Regulations Section 18730, a copy of which <br />section is marked Appendix C and attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference, and <br />any amendments to it duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission, are hereby <br />incorporated by reference and, along with the attached Appendix A in which members of boards <br />and commissions are designated, and Appendix B, in which disclosure categories are set forth, <br />constitute the conflict of interest code of the City of Riverside for its board and commission <br />members. <br />2. Designated members shall file statements of economic interests with the City <br />Clerk. <br />3. Resolution No. 23655 shall be repealed and shall no longer have legal effect as of <br />the effective date of this resolution. <br />4. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption. <br />1 <br />
