INCLUSIVENESS, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, <br />AND GOVERNMENTAL PROCESSES COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES <br />WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2,2022,3:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />City efArts &.Innovation 3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Chair Cervantes, Vice Chair Perry, and Member Conder <br />ABSENT: None <br />STAFF PRESENT: Donesia Gause <br />ALSO PRESENT: None <br />Chair Cervantes convened the meeting at 3:32 p.m. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Maribel Nunez spoke regarding Brown and Black Redistricting Alliance and Map ID 8231. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />RESHAPE RIVERSIDE REDISTRICTING PROCESS UPDATE <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Chair Cervantes and seconded by Vice Chair Perry <br />to (1) receive and order filed an update on the Reshape Riverside Redistricting Plan; <br />(2) consider Community of Interest Testimony and Draft Redistricting Maps; and (3) direct <br />Redistricting Partners and staff to (a) eliminate draft Map C, (b) provide draft maps with <br />street and deviation information; and (c) prepare a map modifying Draft D keeping the <br />Arlanza Neighborhood together. The motion carried unanimously. <br />ESTABLISH POLICY FOR PROPER DISPLAY AND HANDLING OF FLAGS AT CITY FACILITIES AND <br />APPROVAL AND DISPLAY OF COMMEMORATIVE FLAGS <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Chair Cervantes and seconded by Vice Chair Perry <br />to refer the Riverside Flag Policy to City Council in January 2023 for consideration. The <br />motion carried with Chair Cervantes and Vice Chair Perry voting aye, and Member <br />Conder voting no. <br />ICGC-46 <br />
