INCLUSIVENESS, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, <br />AND GOVERNMENTAL PROCESSES COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES <br />WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2022, 6:00 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSONJELEPHONE <br />. * ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />CityfArts&Innovation 3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Chair Cervantes, Vice Chair Perry, and Member Conder <br />ABSENT: None <br />STAFF PRESENT: Donesia Gause and Susan Wilson <br />ALSO PRESENT: Paul Mitchell and Liz Stitt <br />Chair Cervantes convened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Cindy Mendoza Collins spoke regarding Casa Blanca redistricting boundary preferences. <br />Maribel Nunez spoke regarding draft Black and Brown Map and aligning redistricting <br />process with Presidential election year. Gabriella Mendez spoke regarding Community <br />of Interests (COI). <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEA <br />2022 RESHAPE RIVERSIDE REDISTRICTING PROCESS UPDATE <br />Hearing was called to conduct the second of a series of Public Hearings on the Reshape <br />Riverside Redistricting Plan. Five people spoke on the matter. The Public Hearing was <br />officially closed. <br />Following discussion and without formal motion, the Committee (1) directed staff to <br />consider Community of Interest and draft map testimony; and (2) received and ordered <br />filed an update on the Reshape Riverside Redistricting Plan. <br />ITEMS FOR FUTURE INCLUSIVENESS, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND GOVERNMENTAL <br />PROCESSES COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION AS REQUESTED BY MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE <br />There was no item requested by the Committee at this time. <br />ICGC-44 <br />
