CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2022, 11 A.M. <br />• PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City fArts&,Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, <br />Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. <br />Councilmember Fierro gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There was no one wishing to address the City Council. <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The Mayor and City Council adjourned to closed sessions at 11:05 p.m. pursuant to <br />Government Code (1) §54957 for appointment/employment of City Manager by City <br />Council; and (2) §54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct designated <br />representatives regarding salaries, salary schedules, or compensation paid in the form of <br />fringe benefits of unrepresented employee for City Manager. <br />RECESS <br />The Mayor and City Council reconvened at 1:00 p.m. with Mayor Lock Dawson presiding <br />and all Councilmembers present. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Rich Gardner spoke regarding Purple Boat Float, Alzheimer Awareness Month, Lung <br />Cancer Awareness, and Hispanic Heritage Month. William Bailey, Jr., spoke regarding <br />the Love Riverside Cleanup Day. Patrick Maloney spoke regarding National Night Out in <br />the Wood Streets, Karaoke Night on Wednesdays at the Packing House, Open Mic Night <br />at Back to the Grind and Comedy Night at Euryale Brewery. <br />PRESENTATION <br />RIVERSIDE ARTS ACADEMY PROGRAMMING UPDATE <br />The City Council received an update on the Riverside Arts Academy Programming. <br />108-75 <br />
