BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DRAFT MINUTES MONDAY, AUGUST 22,2022,6:30 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE CiV of Arts &Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER 3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 PRESENT: Chair David Crohn, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware and Board Members Nipunjeet Gujral, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, Gary Montgomery, Gil Oceguera, and Peter Wohlgemuth. ABSENT: Member Gujral left meeting early Chair Crohn called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Member Montgomery led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE Paul Rodriquez spoke regarding possible partnerships with Western Municipal Water District. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Vice Chair Goldware and seconded by Member Melendez to approve the Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The motion carried with Chair Crohn, Vice Chair Goldware, and Members Heru, Melendez, Montgomery, Oceguera, and Wohlgemuth voting aye and Member Gujral not voting. MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of August 8, 2022, were approved as presented. ATTENDANCE The Board of Public Utilities excused the absences of Member Cherney and Member Gujral from the July 25, 2022, meeting. EXPENDITURE - SIX-MONTH CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR MAINTENANCE AND AS -NEEDED REPAIRS TO AIR INLET CHILLERS - RIVERSIDE ENERGY RESOURCE CENTER The Board of Public Utilities approved an expenditure for a six-month contract extension with Trane U.S., Inc., for maintenance and as -needed repairs on the air inlet chillers at Riverside Energy Resource Center for $51,067 through March 31, 2023. WORK ORDER 2217506 - ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION, PAVING AND CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY COSTS - ELEVENTH STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT The Board of Public Utilities approved Work Order 2217506 in the total amount of $586,000 for engineering, construction, paving and construction contingency costs for the Eleventh Street Water Main Replacement Project.
