<br /> RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> Board Memorandum <br /> <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: AUGUST 22, 2022 <br />SUBJECT: ELECTRIC SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM <br />UPGRADE PROJECT - PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH OPEN SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL FOR THE UPGRADE <br />OF EXISTING OPEN SYSTEM INTERNATIONAL BASED ELECTRIC <br />SUPERVISOR CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM, FOR A TERM <br />UNTIL NOVEMBER 30, 2027, IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,121,116 WITH AN <br />ADDITIONAL $45,000 FOR TAX ON TANGIBLE ITEMS; A 10% PROJECT <br />CONTINGENCY IN THE AMOUNT OF $121,451; WORK ORDER NO 2205440 <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,335,961; TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $2,287,567 <br />ISSUES: <br />Consider approving the expenditure of $2,287,567 for the Electric Supervisory Control and Data <br />Acquisition System Upgrade Project. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />That the Board of Public Utilities: <br />1. Approve the expenditure of $2,287,567 for the Electric Supervisory Control and Data <br />Acquisition System Upgrade Project; <br /> <br />2. Approve a Software License Agreement with Open Systems International, Inc. of Medina, <br />Minneapolis, for Electric Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System software <br />upgrades, services and licenses; <br />3. Approve Work Order No. 2205440 for the capital costs of the Electric Supervisory Control <br />and Data Acquisition System Upgrade Project including a 10% project contingency in the <br />amount of $1,335,961; <br />4. Recommend that the City Council approve Professional Consultant Services Agreement <br />with Open Systems International, Inc. of Medina, Minneapolis for the upgrade of existing <br />Open Systems International Based Electric Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition <br />System and Energy Management Systems, in the amount of $2,121,116 with an additional <br />$45,000 for tangible taxable items; and <br />5. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the <br />Agreements, including making minor, non-substantive changes, and to sign all documents <br />and instruments necessary to complete the transactions. <br /> <br />
