People Serving <br />People <br /> <br /> l~iverside <br /> CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />AGENCY MEMORANDUM 'llll, <br /> <br />HONORABLE MAYOR AND AGENCY MEMBERS DATE: March 16, 2004 <br /> ITEM NO: 6 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Grants and Loans <br /> (Eastaide, Disability Access Grant, Senior Grant, and Citywide) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, which was approved by Council on February 4, 2003, <br />Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has determined that the following applicant(s) <br />is/are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loan/Grant Programs. This/these <br />applicant(s) is/ara as follows: <br /> <br />CURRENTISSUE: <br /> <br />15-126 Eleazar & Susy Fernandez 11570 Orion Street (92505) CW D/L $35,000.00 <br /> CW S/G $5,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to remove existing patio cover; relocate and install new hot water heater; replace roof, <br />windows, and central air and heat; and bring room addition up to code requirements. No lead-based <br />paint was found. <br /> <br />14-102 Reggie Martinez 3375 Mono Drive (92506) DA G $2,434.00 <br /> CW D/L $34,500.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to install central air and heat, new kitchen layout, microwave range hood, grab bars in <br />bathroom, landing at French doors, cover on electrical panel, threshold at front and side entry doors, trim <br />and weather stripping at side entry door, hot water heater, and smoke detectors; replace side entry door, <br />windows, sliding glass door, shower, bathtub, and switch for dining room ceiling fan; seal cracks in <br />cement floors; repair front porch beam and install new post; close off entry door in dining room; finish trim <br />at French doors; and relocate washer and dryer. Areas containing lead-based paint, which will be <br />disturbed during rehabilitation, will be abated by a Certified Contractor. <br /> <br />15-116 <br /> <br />Wilma Washington <br /> <br />2153 Vermont Avenue (92507) <br /> <br />DA G $915.00 <br />ES G $4,085.00 <br />ES D/L $35,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to repair leak in master bedroom, replace shower surround and window screens; <br />install security screen door, rain gutters, carpet, closet doors, GFI's, central air and heat, tile over stove, <br />20-amp circuit, exhaust fan in bathroom, grab bars, off set hinges and lever handles, and medicine <br />cabinet; remove shower doors; widen bathroom door; refinish bathtub; paint master bathroom; convert <br />garage conversion back to a garage; and construct a fire wall. <br /> <br />6-1 <br /> <br /> <br />
