City of Arts &Innovation <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 2022, 9:00 A.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON /TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />PLANNING CASE PR -2021-000897 - MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONS (PM -30369), <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, PARCEL MAP, DESIGN REVIEW - 19260 VAN BUREN <br />BOULEVARD, WARD 4 - CONTINUED TO JUNE 23, 2022 <br />Danielle Harper -Scott, Associate Planner, announced that the applicant is requesting <br />further continuance to June 23, 2022. There was no public comment. Following <br />discussion, it was moved by Commissioner Rush and seconded by Commissioner Wilder <br />to Continue Planning Case PR -2021-000897 to the meeting of June 23, 2022 as requested <br />by the applicant. <br />Motion Carried: 7 Ayes, 0 Noes, 2 Absent, 0 Abstention <br />AYES: Kirby, Parker, Roberts, Rush, Singh, Wilder <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mooney, Ridgway, <br />ABSTENTION: None <br />PLANNING CASE PR -2022-001321 - MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONS (P14-0839) - 3422 <br />RUSTIN AVENUE, WARD 1 <br />Proposal by Dr. Virgie Rentie of Reach Leadership STEEAM Academy to consider a <br />Modification of Conditions to delete condition of approval #4 related to previously <br />approved Conditional Use Permit (P14-0839) for the operation of a temporary charter <br />school (Kindergarten - 6th grade). Regine Osorio, Associate Planner, presented the staff <br />report. Commissioner Ridgeway joined the meeting at this time. Virgie Rentie, stated <br />they were in agreement with the recommended conditions of approval. There were no <br />public Comments and the public hearing was closed. Following discussion it was moved <br />by Commissioner Rush and seconded by Commissioner Singh to: 1) Determined that the <br />proposed project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />pursuant to Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities) of the CEQA Guidelines, as the proposed <br />project will not have a significant effect on the environment; and 2) Approved Planning <br />Case PR -2022-001321 (Modification of Conditions), based on the findings outlined in the <br />staff report and subject to the recommended conditions. <br />Chair Kirby advised of the appeal period. <br />Motion Carried: 7 Ayes, 0 Noes, 1 Absent, 0 Abstention <br />Approved Planning Commission Minutes - June 9, 2022 <br />2 <br />
