<br />City Council Memorandum <br />TO:HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCILDATE: JULY 5, 2022 <br />FROM: FIRE DEPARTMENT WARDS: ALL <br />SUBJECT:PURCHASEAND DELIVERY OF FUEL PRODUCTS FOR CITY FIRE STATIONS <br />WITH SC COMMERCIAL, LLC INTHETOTAL AMOUNT OF $254,620FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2022/2023 WITH FOUR ONE-YEAR RENEWAL PERIOD <br />OPTIONS <br />ISSUES: <br />Approve the purchase and delivery of fuel products for City Fire Stations with SC Commercial, <br />LLC of Orange, CA in thetotal amount of $254,620for Fiscal Year 2022/2023 with four one-year <br />renewal period options. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />That the City Council: <br />1.Approve the purchase and delivery of fuel products for City Fire Stations with SC <br />Commercial, LLC of Orange, CA in thetotal amount of $254,620 for Fiscal Year 2022/23; <br />2.Approve four additional one-year renewal periodoptionswith SC Commercial, LLC for <br />the purchase and delivery of fuel products in the amountsof $267,351for FY 2023/24, <br />$280,718for FY 2024/25, $294,754for FY 2025/26, and $309,492for FY 2026/27 <br />inclusive of5% annual increases for future fuel market volatility; and <br />3.Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents pursuant to this <br />purchase including making minor and non-substantive changes, and annual renewal <br />extensions. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Riverside Fire Department (RFD) maintains the fuel pumps at 14 Fire Stations which <br />supply fuel to the Department. The fire station fuel tanks hold between 500 to 1,000 gallons each <br />andrequire frequent refilling.On November 24, 2021, the Riverside County Department of <br />Purchasing and Fleet Services issued Request for Proposal,RIVCO-2022-RFP-0000341,for <br />the purchase and delivery of Unleaded Fuel and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel. On April 1, 2022, <br />the County of Riverside entered into a contractwith SC Commercial, LLC, PSA-0004078,for a <br />five (5) year term, renewed annually, endingMarch 31, 2027. <br /> <br />
