1ORDINANCE NO. 2AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 17.28 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE 3REGARDING MINIMUM GRADING STANDARDS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. 4 The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows: 5 6 Section 1: Section 17.28.020 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended as 7 follows: 8 Ð Section 17.28.020 Minimum Grading Standards and General 9 Requirements. 10 The following supplementary regulations shall apply to the grading of hillsides and arroyos. 11 A. Grading requirements. Where grading is proposed on any parcel having an average natural 12 slope of ten percent or greater, or which is zoned Residential Conservation (RC), or which 13 is located within or adjacent to the Mockingbird Canyon, Woodcrest, Prenda, Alessandro, 14 Tequesquite, or Springbrook Arroyos, or a blue line stream identified on USGS Maps, or 15 other significant arroyo, the grading must be confined per this chapter and limited to the 16 minimum grading necessary to provide for a housean approved dwelling unit or units, 17 driveway, garage and limited level yard. The ungraded terrain must be left in its natural 18 form for the remainder of the site. All hillside/arroyo grading shall conform to the 19 following general requirements: 20 . . . 21 8. Streets shall be designed to generally follow the natural contours and land form in 22 order to minimize cut and fill. 23 9. Pads sizes for any development in single family residential zones development shall 24 be limited as follows: 25 a. Multiple pads may be allowed provided all other standards related to grading, slopes 26 and retaining walls are met and that they do not exceed the maximum pad size limits below. 27 b.
