BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />MONDAY, MAY 23, 2022, 6:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City of Arts&Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair David Crohn, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware, and Board Members <br />Deborah Cherney, Nipunjeet Gujral, Nancy Melendez, Gary Montgomery, <br />Gil Oceguera, and Peter Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: Board Member Rosemary Heru <br />Chair Crohn called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Member Oceguera led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Seth Wilson spoke regarding sustainability and his municipal utility experience. Tom Evans <br />spoke regarding the contract authority of the Board of Public Utilities and Measure MM. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Power Resources Manager Tracy Sato provided the Riverside Public Utilities sustainability <br />efforts update. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member Cherney to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of May 9, 2022, were approved as presented. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />PER AND POLYFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES UPDATE <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Member Cherney and seconded by <br />Member Melendez to receive and order filed the Per and polyfluoroalkyl substances <br />update. The motion carried unanimously. <br />Member Cherney left the dais during the following item and participated via telephone. <br />SAFETY PROGRAM UPDATE <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member <br />Montgomery to receive and order filed the Riverside Public Utilities Safety Program update. <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br />
