CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />•,' ` TUESDAY, APRIL 26, 2022, 1 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City fArts&Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson and Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, <br />Conder, Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1:02 p.m. <br />Councilmember Conder gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Lock Dawson introduced guests from South Korea on a Visiting Fellows Program at <br />California Baptist University. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Griselda Martinez, Jackie McNulty, and Melissa spoke regarding the Ordinance on <br />smoking regulations for multi -unit residences throughout city. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards reported on a partnership with the Mayor at the Riverside Art <br />Museum to host a meeting bringing together entities and individuals in the Art sector to <br />discuss economic development in preparation for the opening of The Cheech Center in <br />June, takeaways from District 2 Homeless Collaborative meeting, ExCite grand opening, <br />Wood Streets Yard Sale, the Insect Fair at the Main Library, and Tweed Bike Ride. <br />Councilmember Cervantes reported on the Sycamore Canyon virtual meeting and a <br />tree planting event. Councilmember Conder welcomed the guests from South Korea on <br />a Visiting Fellows Program at California Baptist University. Councilwoman Plascencia <br />reported ExCite grand opening, Reid Park soccer game, Coffee and Conversations <br />Women's Panel discussion on leadership and education, and Neighbors Better Together <br />meeting. Councilmember Perry reported on Casa Blanca Earth Day event, Chamber of <br />Commerce Job Fair at Galleria at Tyler, and Youth and Visioning Day. Mayor Lock <br />Dawson reported on the Big Tent Tour in Sycamore Highlands and Big City Mayors <br />meeting in Sacramento. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE <br />There City Council received an update on Intergovernmental relations and legislation. <br />107-305 <br />
