You agreed that there had not been a
"satisfactory conclusion" in resolving the program's problems. You said the
matter was "under review" and you would report back to the Board or continue
to talk with users like us to reach a "mutually agreeable" result.
We understood your comments meant that RPU would hold off on requiring
monthly inspections, which was the primary initial program problem we have
objected to repeatedly. We said we would not use the hydrant until the issue was
resolved.
Yet, we received the attached letter dated March 17th from RPU's cross -
connection control (CCC) office yesterday by certified mail. It's titled "Second Air
Gap Inspection Request" and tells us to arrange to be inspected "immediately",
warning again of a "$500 fine" if we don't comply.
Please tell your CCC office to suspend this order immediately and copy us in
writing.
i
Bob Buster Mary 9 mboldt
7
7407 Dufferin Ave., Riverside, CA 92504; bobbuster@att.net; 951.314-0201
cc.
RPU Board Chair Crohn & Members
Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Conder & Plascencia
City Mgr.
