City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 2022, 1 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />Bourns Family Innovation Center and at the California Air Resource Board (CARB), <br />upcoming Neighbors of the Wood Street and Historic Wood Street Association meetings, <br />and thanked Community and Economic Development Department staff and residents <br />for attending Ward 1 office hours. Councilmember Cervantes announced a University of <br />California, Riverside public hearing at Grant Elementary on Science, Technology, <br />Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education facility, University neighborhood <br />meeting on urban donkeys, a speaking engagement on women in politics, and wished <br />the Mayor and other Councilmembers a happy International Women's Day. <br />Councilwoman Plascencia reported on the Inland Empire Education Workforce Summit <br />to Economic Development. Councilmember Hemenway thanked Connie Librenjak and <br />the Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful Team for Ward 7 beautification project which <br />consisted of 75 volunteers who cleaned up 14 sites and collecting 2,000 pounds of litter <br />and thanked the sponsors and City staff. Mayor Lock Dawson reported on upcoming Big <br />Tent Tour, two ADU Workshops and announced she will be attending the League of Cities <br />Conference in Washington, DC. <br />The City Council Financial Performance and Budget Committee will conduct an in person <br />and virtual meeting on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 3 p.m. <br />CEREMONIAL PRESENTATION <br />RIVERSIDE PROSPERS SUCCESS REPORT <br />Mayor Lock Dawson reported on Blue Social. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilmember Hemenway and seconded by Councilmember Perry <br />to approve the Consent Calendar as presented affirming the actions appropriate to <br />each item. The motion carried with Councilmember Conder absent. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meetings of February 22, 2022, were approved as presented. <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENT <br />The Mayor and City Council appointed Melinda A. Weinrich to the Ward 1 resident seat <br />on the Budget Engagement Commission for a term through March 1, 2024. <br />107-256 <br />
