City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2022, 1 P.M. <br />TELEPHONE PUBLIC COMMENT <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, <br />Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Cervantes gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Ronald Chick spoke regarding firework display at Bonaminio Park. Jason Hunter spoke <br />regarding rules for public comment and Measure MM. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards reported on BLACK Collective Black History event at Fairmount <br />Park. Council Cervantes reported on Keep Riverside Clean event, February Tree planting <br />event with Tree People, Miguel Lujano acknowledged as a Brown Panther, and the <br />extension of the public comment period for the Riverside County Transportation <br />Commission expansion project to February 18, 2022. Councilmember Fierro reported on <br />Lewis Garden clean up by Victoria Avenue Forever. Councilwoman Plascencia wished <br />everyone early Happy Valentine's Day. Councilmember Perry reported that Alvord <br />Unified School District is providing free COVID testing at the Arlanza library. Mayor Lock <br />Dawson reported on the State of the City Address on February 24, 2022, the Big Tent Tour, <br />and the Black History parade is cancelled. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE <br />There was no update on Intergovernmental relations and legislation. <br />HOMELESS SOLUTIONS UPDATE <br />The City Council received an update on homeless solutions. <br />SUSTAINABILITY UPDATE <br />The City Council received an update sustainability. <br />107-220 <br />
