City ofArts 8Z Innovation CITY COUNCIL MINUTES TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2022, 1 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE VIRTUAL MEETING 3900 MAIN STREET The main motion to appoint Councilmember Conder as Mayor Pro Tem for January through June 2022 was upheld with no objection. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Perry and seconded by Councilmember Conder to approve the Consent Calendar as presented affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The motion carried unanimously. RECONSIDER CIRCUMSTANCES OF STATE OF EMERGENCY AND MAKE A FINDING THAT STATE AND/OR LOCAL OFFICIALS CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES The City Council (1) reconsidered the circumstances of the state of emergency; and (2) made a finding that state and/or local officials continue to recommend social distancing measures. BOARD AND COMMISSION RESIGNATION AND VACANCY The Mayor and City Council (1) accepted the resignation of Mazumder Ahmed from the Human Relations Commission Citywide seat, effective immediately; (2) declared vacant the Ward 6 seat on the Planning Commission due to the passing of Larry Allen; and (3) requested the City Clerk process the vacancies. MINUTES The minutes of the meetings of December 7 and 14, 2021, were approved as presented. JOINT USE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT - EXTEND USE OF FORMER RIVERSIDE GOLF COURSE SITE - 1077 N. ORANGE The City Council (1) approved the Third Amendment to Joint Use Agreement with Riverside Unified School District to extend the use of City -owned property located at 1077 N. Orange Street through November 30, 2022, with one six-month option to extend the agreement; and (2) authorized the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Third Amendment to Joint Use Agreement with Riverside Unified School District and the six-month option to extend, if necessary, including making minor and non -substantive changes. 107-182
