City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2022, 1 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />The main motion to appoint Councilmember Conder as Mayor Pro Tem for January <br />through June 2022 was upheld with no objection. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilmember Perry and seconded by Councilmember Conder to <br />approve the Consent Calendar as presented affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. The motion carried unanimously. <br />RECONSIDER CIRCUMSTANCES OF STATE OF EMERGENCY AND MAKE A FINDING THAT <br />STATE AND/OR LOCAL OFFICIALS CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND SOCIAL DISTANCING <br />MEASURES <br />The City Council (1) reconsidered the circumstances of the state of emergency; and <br />(2) made a finding that state and/or local officials continue to recommend social <br />distancing measures. <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION RESIGNATION AND VACANCY <br />The Mayor and City Council (1) accepted the resignation of Mazumder Ahmed from the <br />Human Relations Commission Citywide seat, effective immediately; (2) declared vacant <br />the Ward 6 seat on the Planning Commission due to the passing of Larry Allen; and <br />(3) requested the City Clerk process the vacancies. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meetings of December 7 and 14, 2021, were approved as presented. <br />JOINT USE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT - EXTEND USE OF FORMER RIVERSIDE GOLF COURSE <br />SITE - 1077 N. ORANGE <br />The City Council (1) approved the Third Amendment to Joint Use Agreement with <br />Riverside Unified School District to extend the use of City -owned property located at <br />1077 N. Orange Street through November 30, 2022, with one six-month option to extend <br />the agreement; and (2) authorized the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the <br />Third Amendment to Joint Use Agreement with Riverside Unified School District and the <br />six-month option to extend, if necessary, including making minor and non -substantive <br />changes. <br />107-182 <br />
