RECOMMENDATION: The Mayor's Nominating and Screening Committee recommends that the City Council reappoint Dr. Gary Bradley to the Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District Board of Trustees to serve for a 4 -year term through December 31, 2025. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: On December 14, 2021, the Mayor's Nominating and Screening Committee met with Chair Mayor Lock Dawson and Members Cervantes, Conder and Perry present. Following discussion, the Committee unanimously recommended that the City Council reappoint Dr. Dr. Gary Bradley to the Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District Board of Trustees to serve for a 4 -year term through December 31, 2025. BACKGROUND: The Northwest Mosquito Abatement District was formed on December 28, 1959, to control mosquitos in the northwest portion of Riverside County. At present, the District provides vector control services over an area of 350 square miles with a population of approximately 900,000. The District serves the cities of Canyon Lake, Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, Lake Elsinore, and Riverside, and the unincorporated areas of western Riverside County. The eight -member Board of Trustees is comprised of one person appointed by the City Councils of Canyon Lake, Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, Lake Elsinore, and Riverside. The trustees serve a term of two or four years and may be appointed to successive terms. The Board meets one time per month on the third Thursday at 3:OOpm. It is also required that the appointee resides within the boundaries of the city which is making the appointment. The Board members
