Following discussion, <br />the Committee unanimously recommended that the City Council reappoint Dr. Dr. Gary Bradley <br />to the Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District Board of Trustees to serve for a 4 -year <br />term through December 31, 2025. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Northwest Mosquito Abatement District was formed on December 28, 1959, to control <br />mosquitos in the northwest portion of Riverside County. At present, the District provides vector <br />control services over an area of 350 square miles with a population of approximately 900,000. <br />The District serves the cities of Canyon Lake, Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, Lake <br />Elsinore, and Riverside, and the unincorporated areas of western Riverside County. <br />The eight -member Board of Trustees is comprised of one person appointed by the City Councils <br />of Canyon Lake, Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, Lake Elsinore, and Riverside. The <br />trustees serve a term of two or four years and may be appointed to successive terms. The Board <br />meets one time per month on the third Thursday at 3:OOpm.
