CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2021, 8 A.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />City ofArts &.Innovation 3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Conder, Perry, <br />and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Fierro <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m. <br />Councilmember Fierro arrived during the first interview. <br />INTERVIEWS <br />COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW COMMISSION INTERVIEWS - WARDS 2, 3, 5, AND CITYWIDE <br />S EATS <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed (1) Charles Dillon for the Citywide; (2) Tanya <br />Humphrey for the Ward 2; (3) Bobby Hawkins for the Ward 3; (4) Jonathan D. Raya, <br />Mohammad Noor, and Sandy R. Tarmo for the Ward 5; (5) Bryan C. Thomas, Johnny R. <br />Wilder, and Carmen Payne for the Citywide seats on the Community Police Review <br />Commission. <br />Following discussion, if was moved by Councilmember Cervantes and seconded by <br />Councilwoman Plascencia to appoint Tanya Humphrey to the Ward 2 seat on the <br />Community Police Review Commission for a term ending March 1, 2025. The motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Following further discussion, if was moved by Councilmember Fierro and seconded by <br />Councilmember Conder f appoint Bobby Hawkins fo the Ward 3 seat on the Community <br />Police Review Commission for a term ending March 1, 2024. The motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Following further discussion, if was moved by Councilwoman Plascencia and seconded <br />by Councilmember Cervantes to appoint Jonathan D. Raya to the Ward 5 seat on the <br />Community Police Review Commission for a term ending March 1, 2024. The motion <br />carried with Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Hemenway, Councilwoman <br />Plascencia, and Mayor Lock -Dawson voting aye and Councilmembers Conder and Perry <br />voting no. <br />Following further discussion, if was moved by Mayor Lock Dawson and seconded by <br />Councilmember Perry to appoint Carmen Payne to the Citywide seat on the Community <br />107-128 <br />
