CITY COUNCIL <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY, HOUSING AND <br />PARKING AUTHORITIES <br />I MINUTES <br />City ofArts &.Innovation TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2021, 1 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW COMMISSION SURVEY RESULTS <br />Following discussion and without formal motion, the City Council (1) received and <br />ordered filed a review summary of survey results from the Community Police Review <br />Commission survey provided to current and past Commissioners to gain an <br />understanding of the Commissioners perspective on Commission activities and the <br />current level of support from the City for carrying out the Commission's mission and role; <br />(2) reviewed and discussed Commission recommendations to meet Community Police <br />Review Commission community outreach and Commission objectives (3) direct staff to <br />outline graphic that describes who does what with roles and responsibilities including <br />Community Police Review Commission; (4) direct staff to provide Community Police <br />Review Commission Annual Report that identifies case log and resources needed; and <br />(5) direct staff to provide when actionable items are implemented and recruitment for <br />diversity. <br />RIVERSIDE ALIVE PROJECT UPDATE - POTENTIAL/FUTURE EXPANSION OF CONVENTION <br />CENTER - CONSTRUCTION OF NEW PUBLIC PARKING GARAGE TO SERVICE DOWNTOWN <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Perry and seconded by <br />Councilmember Edwards to (1) receive and order filed an update on the Riverside Alive <br />project; (2) direct staff to prepare the item for closed session by the end of October 2021 <br />and refer to the Economic Development, Placemaking, and Branding/Marketing <br />Committee in November 2021; and (3) direct staff to bring back to City Council an item <br />for discussion at the same meeting the closed session is scheduled. The motion carried <br />unanimously <br />RECESS <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed at 3:14 p.m. and reconvened at 3:21 p.m. with <br />Mayor Lock Dawson presiding and all Councilmembers present. <br />107-102 <br />
