Approve the Professional Services Agreement for the installation and alignment of a CS21- <br />4HC 2PH Rotating Assembly for the Riverside Water Quality Control Plant with Centrisys <br />Corporation of Stockton, California, for one year from the date of execution in the amount <br />of $234,087.50; and <br />2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Professional Services <br />Agreement, including making minor and non -substantive changes. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant (RWQCP) provides treatment of domestic and <br />industrial wastewater generated within the City of Riverside and the communities of Highgrove, <br />Rubidoux, Edgemont, and Jurupa. This entails the operation of the primary, secondary, and <br />tertiary treatment processes to produce high-quality treated effluent that complies with 100% of all <br />State and Federal requirements. Current flow is approximately 46 million gallons per day. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The rotation assembly that staff is requesting to purchase is one component of the centrifuge <br />dewatering unit (centrifuge). The centrifuge was originally purchased and installed in 2006 and <br />processes on average 216,000 gallons per day of sludge. The centrifuge requires maintenance <br />service every 18,000 -hours, at which time the rotating assembly must be rebuilt. In 2019, the <br />Centrisys Corporation performed the 18,000 -hour service on the centrifuge, and RWQCP was <br />
