BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES MINUTES MONDAY, JULY 26, 2021, 6:30 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE Civ ?f Arts &Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER 3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 PRESENT: Chair Elizabeth Sanchez-Monville and Board Members Deborah Cherney, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, Gary Montgomery, and Peter Wohlgemuth ABSENT: Vice Chair David Crohn and Board Member Gil Oceguera Chair Sanchez-Monville called the meeting f order at 6:32 p.m. Board Member Cherney led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE Mafssa McKeifh spoke regarding sustainability, in-person meetings, and climate adaptation. COMMUNICATIONS The Legislative and Regulatory update was presented. INTRODUCTION Assistant City Attorney Susan Wilson introduced newly appointed City Attorney Phaedra Norton. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Member Cherney and seconded by Member Melendez to approve the Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The motion carried unanimously. MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of July 12, 2021, were approved as presented. AGREEMENT - GENERATOR POWER TESTING, MODELING, AND DATA COLLECTION AS REQUIRED BY CALIFORNIA INDEPENDENT SYSTEM OPERATOR - RIVERSIDE ENERGY RESOURCE CENTER AND SPRINGS POWER PLANT The Board of Public Utilities (1) approved a Professional Consultant Services Agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc., for generator power testing, modeling, and data collection as required by California Independent System Operator for Riverside Energy Resource Center and Springs Power Plant in the amount of $211,804 for a term through March 22, 2022; and (2) authorized the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Professional Consultant Services Agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc., including making minor non -substantive changes.
