BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES MINUTES MONDAY, JULY 12, 2021, 6:30 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE City (flirts & Innovabon ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER 3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 PRESENT: Chair Elizabeth Sanchez-Monville, Vice -Chair David Crohn, and Board Members Rosemary Heru, Gary Montgomery, Gil Oceguera, and Peter Wohlgemuth ABSENT: Board Members Deborah Cherney and Nancy Melendez Chair Sanchez-Monville called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m, and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE There was no one wishing to address the Board of Public Utilities. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member Montgomery to approve the Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item with the item regarding the Board of Public Utilities standing committee assignments removed from the Consent Calendar for separate discussion. The motion carried unanimously. MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of June 28, 2021, were approved as presented. DISCUSSION CALENDAR BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES STANDING COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS - APPOINTMENT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES MEMBERS AS REPRESENTATIVES TO OUTSIDE ORGANIZATION COMMITTEES Following discussion, it was moved by Member Montgomery and seconded by Member Oceguera to (1) receive assignments for fiscal year 2021/22 standing committees of the Board of Public Utilities made by the Board Chair; and (2) recommending that the City Council appoint representatives to outside organizations as outlined in the report. The motion carried with Chair Sanchez-Monville, Vice Chair Crohn, and Members Heru, Montgomery, and Oceguera voting aye and Member Wohlgemuth voting no. WORK ORDER 2104921 - GARFIELD AND OVERLAND WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT PHASE [I Following discussion, it was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member Wohlgemuth to approve Work Order 2104921 in the total amount of $1,425,000 for all engineering, construction, paving and construction contingency costs for the Garfield and Overland Water Main Replacement Project (Phase Il). The motion carried unanimously.
