1 RESOLUTION NO. 18656 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO 3 ORDER THE FORMATION OF THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND TO LEVY AND 4 COLLECT ASSESSMENTS ON LAND THEREIN PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972 FOR THE 5 INSTALLATION, REPLACEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS AND GIVING NOTICE OF AND 6 SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF A MEETING AND A HEARING ON THE FORMATION OF SAID ASSESSMENT 7 DISTRICT AND THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS THEREON. 8 9 WHEREAS on February 14, 1995 the City Council 10 (hereinafter, the ("Council") of the City of Riverside, 11 California (hereinafter, the "City"), adopted Resolution No. 18655 12 initiating proceedings for the formation of an assessment 13 district pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, as 14 set forth in Part 2 (commencing with Section 22500) of Division 15 15 of the Streets and Highways Code, to be designated as the 16 "University Avenue Landscape Maintenance District, City of 17 Riverside, County of Riverside, State of California", for the 18 installation, replacement and maintenance of landscaping 19 improvements generally, including but not limited to trees, 20 shrubs, grass, vegetation, any ornamental structures above the 21 sidewalk (i.e., bus shelters, trash receptacles), irrigation 22 systems, decorative pavements in the medians, drainage facilities 23 and lighting facilities for the medians; and 24 WHEREAS by said Resolution No. 18655 the Council 25 designated and has ordered A. A.
