Date: Friday, July 16, 2021 10:21:14 AM I'm writing this email after reading in the Press -Enterprise that domestic terrorists Matt Gaetz and Majorie Taylor Greene will be holding an "America Only" rally here tomorrow, after they were forced to move because Orange County has more sense than Riverside does, and opted to cancel the event and force them to move. As a longtime resident of this city, I am disgusted, embarrassed, angered, and frankly horrified. If it is true it will be at the convention center, I am even more displeased, considering my tax money is going to hold this un-American, bigoted, xenophobic, hateful "rally" that is more likely to incite hatred and violence than bring about anything meaningful or positive. Yes, I know, this city "leans right" still, because while the calendar says 2021, it's really 1888 here still. But this goes beyond "conservative" or "listening to both sides." Both of these domestic terrorists have used their position to target and harass people like me, along with people of color, other LGBTQ's, immigrants, and anyone who doesn't fit into their perfect white, straight Aryan utopia. BOTH Gaetz and Taylor Greene appear to have fueled the January 6 insurrection and terrorist attack in Washington DC, and continue to throw fuel on the Big Lie known as "Stop the Steal". Both have done their share of work to try to overthrow the democratically -elected government of this country to illegally re -install a criminal and terrorist to the White House. BOTH Gaetz and Taylor Greene have impeded progress on containing COVID-19 by opposing masks, social distancing and even vaccines. BOTH Gaetz and Taylor Greene have used their position and voice to spread bigotry and hatred against people of color and LGBTQ's. Gaetz is, of course, under investigation for being sexually involved with teenage girls, and his role in a child sex trafficking ring. Disgusting. And made worse by the fact that I have had to endure accusation after accusation that I'm a threat to children for being a lesbian trans woman. I'm the one with a target on my back, living in fear, despite having never done anything remotely like that. But we're fine with Gaetz? So much for "protect the children", huh? But some of us know that's BS, and is nothing but an excuse to bully LGBTQ's. Someone lock up all the teenage girls this week, please... Protect them from Matt Gaetz. Taylor Greene is a bigoted, homophobic, transphobic bully, who has been "hard at work" in Congress bullying a fellow congresswoman with a trans child, telling the trans community "respect the science", calling Caitlyn Jenner "a man in a dress", and other such acts of hatred
