From: Jim <br />To: 2Mavor <br />Subject: [External] Lack of trash "service" <br />Date: Thursday, July 15, 2021 4:35:09 PM <br />Hello and thank you for your time, <br />I really have an issue of late with the City of Riverside's trash service. <br />Lately, we are lucky to have even one of our three cans picked up. Sure... usually, the next day <br />the missed cans get picked up. <br />Here is my issue ... I live on a cul de sac. We have no sidewalks so the cans go in the street. At <br />the end of our street this basically removes any available parking. <br />ALSO, every 1 st and 3rd Friday is "street sweeping" day. This means that when our cans don't <br />get picked up on the 1st and 3rd Thursday..... our street doesn't get swept. <br />Now, I do believe that I am being billed for the sweeping services. Which means I am paying <br />for a service I'm not receiving . I should, in theory get that portion of my bill refunded. <br />All of this can be avoided by simply having trash service pick up on schedule, as has been the <br />case for the 51 years I've lived in Riverside. <br />I'm really not interested in the worn out excuse of "covid related staffing issues". <br />If staffing is truly the problem then hire new staff. <br />I have used the 311 app many times to report a missed pick up. <br />It is becoming annoying. <br />Thank you again for your time and consideration, <br />James Locke <br />5997 Mona Bell CT. <br />Riverside 92504 <br />Get B1ueMail for Android <br />
