Matt Gaetz from Florida and Rep. Marjorie Taylor <br />Green from Georgia have rescheduled an "America First" rally that was supposed to take place <br />in Laguna Hills and are now having it here in Riverside. <br />"America First" has links to the domestic terrorists who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, <br />and the 500+ terrorists who've been arrested since then attended a rally by then -president <br />Trump that was also labeled "America First". I do not feel safe having a rally like this in my <br />own city. Not only will COVID-19 safety protocols be ignored in a rally of this type, in which <br />anti -vaccine and anti -mask folks will be attending in numbers, but there's a history of fascist <br />and violent behavior at rallies such as this. <br />It also has the propensity for anti -America First protestors to show up in droves, and that <br />increases the chance for violence to erupt between rally attendees and protestors, as well as the <br />spread of COVID-19 in our city. <br />I have serious concerns about this being allowed to proceed and I know I'm not alone. Please <br />consider blocking their permit. Only increased COVID-19 hospitalization rates and violence <br />can come from this. <br />Thanks for your consideration, <br />Very Concerned Riverside Citizen <br />
