<br />159081 <br /> <br />VC-008-945 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18648 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE SUMMARY <br />VACATION OF AN UNIMPROVED PORTION OF CENTRAL AVENUE <br />(FORMERLY HANTON STREET) APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET WIDE <br />AND 750 FEET LONG SITUATED APPROXIMATELY 275 FEET <br />NORTHWESTERLY OF THE INTERSECTION OF EXISTING AND <br />IMPROVED CENTRAL AVENUE AND VAN BUREN BOULEVARD. <br /> <br />1~lf\1"" <br />~~'..J:' <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6 WHEREAS an approximately 60 foot wide by 750 foot long <br /> <br />7 portion of Central Avenue (formerly Hanton Street) located <br /> <br />8 approximately 275 feet northwesterly of the intersection of <br /> <br />9 existing and improved Central Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard in <br /> <br />10 the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, State of California <br /> <br />11 is unimproved and has been superseded by the alignment of an <br /> <br />12 existing and improved portion of Central Avenue; and <br /> <br />13 WHEREAS the Public Works Department of the City of <br /> <br />14 Riverside has requested the summary vacation of that portion of <br /> <br />15 unimproved Central Avenue located approximately 275 feet <br /> <br />16 northwesterly of the intersection of existing and improved <br /> <br />17 Central Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard to facilitate the <br /> <br />18 dedication as public street right-of-way of a portion of <br /> <br />19 existing and improved Central Avenue from Acorn Street to Van <br /> <br />20 Buren Boulevard; and <br /> <br />21 WHEREAS the right-of-way proposed to be vacated is <br /> <br />22 situated within the boundaries of the Riverside Municipal <br /> <br />23 Airport as is the realigned portion of the existing and <br /> <br />24 improved Central Avenue to be dedicated; and <br /> <br />25 WHEREAS notices have been sent to all affected parties <br /> <br />26 and agencies and no negative responses have been received; and <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />F:\WPDATA\RES\94260802,BP <br />
