BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JULY 26, 2021, 6:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City fArts&Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair Elizabeth Sanchez-Monville and Board Members Deborah Cherney, <br />Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, Gary Montgomery, and Peter <br />Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: Vice Chair David Crohn and Board Member Gil Oceguera <br />Chair Sanchez-Monville called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br />Board Member Cherney led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Malissa McKeith spoke regarding sustainability, in-person meetings, and climate adaptation. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />The Legislative and Regulatory update was presented. <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Assistant City Attorney Susan Wilson introduced newly appointed City Attorney Phaedra <br />Norton. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Cherney and seconded by Member Melendez to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of July 12, 2021, were approved as presented. <br />AGREEMENT - GENERATOR POWER TESTING, MODELING, AND DATA COLLECTION AS <br />REQUIRED BY CALIFORNIA INDEPENDENT SYSTEM OPERATOR - RIVERSIDE ENERGY RESOURCE <br />CENTER AND SPRINGS POWER PLANT <br />The Board of Public Utilities (1) approved a Professional Consultant Services Agreement with <br />Siemens Industry, Inc., for generator power testing, modeling, and data collection as required <br />by California Independent System Operator for Riverside Energy Resource Center and Springs <br />Power Plant in the amount of $211,804 for a term through March 22, 2022; and (2) authorized <br />the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Professional Consultant Services <br />Agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc., including making minor non -substantive changes. <br />
