1 RESOLUTION NO. ]8646 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE INCREASED <br /> 3 WATER UTILITY RATES ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD OF <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> 5 WHEREAS staff of the City's Department of Public <br /> 6 Utilities submitted proposed increases in the water rates <br /> 7 charged to the customers of the City's Water Utility to the <br /> 8 City's Board of Public Utilities; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS the Board of Public Utilities, after <br /> 10 conducting a duly noticed public hearing on the proposed <br /> 11 increases and considering all staff and public comment thereon, <br /> 12 adopted and established certain increases pursuant to Section <br /> 13 1202(e) of the City Charter and directed that the increased <br /> 14 rates be submitted to the City Council for approval; <br /> 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> 16 the City of Riverside, California, that (1) the findings of <br /> 17 fact of the Board of Public Utilities made in its Resolution <br /> 18 No. 94-1, which Resolution is attached hereto and incorporated <br /> 19 herein in its entirety by this reference, are hereby adopted as <br /> 20 findings of the City Council, (2) the increased water rates <br /> 21 established by the Board in said Resolution are hereby <br /> 22 approved, (3) the Public Utilities and Planning Departments are <br /> 23 directed to prepare and file the Notice of Exemption and such <br /> 24 other documents as are required by the California Environmental <br /> 25 Quality Act in connection with the water rate increases, and <br /> 26 (4) the increased water rates shall become effective with the <br /> 27 first billing cycle commencing on or after January 25, 1995. <br /> <br />Attorney's Office <br />Street <br />CA 92522 <br />782-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
