1 RESOLUTION NO. ]8645 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING LOT "H" OF <br /> 3 TRACT 21834 FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES TO BECOME AND <br /> BE KNOWN AS A PORTION OF RED POPPY LANE. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS on the map for Tract 21834, CENTEX REAL ESTATE <br /> 6 CORPORATION, a Nevada corporation, offered for dedication to <br /> 7 public use for street and public utility purposes, Lots "A" <br /> 8 through "H", inclusive, as shown on said map; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Riverside <br /> 10 accepted the streets and easements as shown on said map for <br /> 11 Tract 21834, except that Lot "H" was accepted as a one-foot <br /> 12 barrier strip to deny access from the adjoining private property <br /> 13 to Lot "E" of said tract; and <br /> 14 WHEREAS Lot "E" is known as Red Poppy Lane and Lot "H" is <br /> 15 a one-foot barrier strip at the westerly terminus of said <br /> 16 Lot "E"; and <br /> 17 WHEREAS Tract 21834 is located along the easterly <br /> 18 boundary of the territory recently annexed to the City of <br /> 19 Riverside as "Annexation No. 82--Planned Orangecrest Schools"; <br /> 20 and <br /> 21 WHEREAS Annexation No. 82 consists of approximately 42 <br /> 22 acres owned by the Riverside Unified School District upon which <br /> 23 an elementary and a middle school are being constructed; and <br /> 24 WHEREAS in order for the public to gain access to the <br /> 25 site of the schools from the east by way of Red Poppy Lane, it is <br /> 26 necessary that the offer of dedication of Lot "H" of Tract 21834 <br /> 27 now be accepted for public street purposes; <br /> <br />Attorney's Office <br />Street <br />CA 92522 <br />782-5567 F: kWPDATA~RES~95003501.
