BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JUNE 28, 2021, 6:30 P.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />City ?fArts PUBLIC COMMENT VIA TELEPHONE <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair Elizabeth Sanchez-Monville, Vice -Chair David Crohn, and Board <br />Members Deborah Cherney, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, <br />Gary Montgomery, Gil Oceguera, and Peter Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: None <br />Chair Sanchez-Monville called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Malissa McKeith spoke regarding the Urban Water Management Plan. Kyle Sweeney spoke <br />regarding the Shade Tree Program. <br />Board Member Oceguera arrived during the following item. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />The Legislative and Regulatory update was presented. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />WATER RULE 7 DISCONTINUANCE AND RESTORATION OF WATER SERVICE - ELECTRIC <br />RULE 7 DISCONTINUANCE AND RESTORATION OF ELECTRIC SERVICE <br />Hearing was called to review Water Rule 7 and Electric Rule 7 including the discontinuance <br />and restoration process for customers pursuant to SB 998 Water Shut -Off Protection Act. No <br />one spoke regarding the matter. Following discussion, it was moved by Member Oceguera <br />and seconded by Member Montgomery to close the public hearing. The motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Following further discussion, it was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by <br />Vice Chair Crohn to (1) adopt a resolution establishing the changes to Water Rule 7 and <br />Electric Rule 7 as described in the report, and (2) recommend that the City Council adopt a <br />resolution approving the changes to Water Rule 7 and Electric Rule 7 as described in the <br />report. The motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Cherney and seconded by Member Melendez to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />
