N �r s P U B L I C U r RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT Board Memorandum DATE: JUNE 14, 2021 SUBJECT: WA -12 AGRICULTURAL SERVICE WATER RATE REPORT— APRIL 30, 2021 The City Council adopted the WA -12 Agricultural Service water rate schedule (WA -12) on October 15, 2019, with an effective date of January 1, 2020. As a result, the previous WA-3/WA-9 customers were required to apply for the new WA -12 water rate schedule effective January 1, 2020, or transition to another applicable rate. Potential new customers began submitting applications to be considered for the new WA -12 water rate schedule as of January 2, 2020. As of April 30, 2021, the WA -12 water rate schedule includes 214 customers of which 141 transitioned from the previous WA-3/WA-9. An estimated $396,677 of the annual program allocation of $684,000 has been allocated. As of January 1, 2021, the agricultural water allocation was updated using the rolling 15 -year monthly average ETo value weather data (2005-2019). Through April 30, 2021, customers used approximately 52% of the estimated allotment of water or 77,587 CCF of the allotted 148,244 CCF, for the four-month period.
