BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021, 6:30 P.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />City ?fArts PUBLIC COMMENT VIA TELEPHONE <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Vice -Chair David Crohn, and Board Members Deborah Cherney, Rosemary <br />Heru, Nancy Melendez, Ana Miramontes, Gary Montgomery, Gil Oceguera, <br />and Peter Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: Chair Elizabeth Sanchez-Monville <br />Vice Chair Crohn called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br />Board Member Cherney led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There was no one wishing to address the Board of Public Utilities. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />The Board of Public Utilities received an update on the Riverside Public Utilities sustainability <br />efforts. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Oceguera and seconded by Member Cherney to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of April 12, 2021, were approved as presented. <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 1994 AGREEMENT - CLEARWATER POWER PLANT ANALYZER PROJECT <br />UPGRADE <br />The Board of Public Utilities (1) approved the Professional Consultant Services Agreement in <br />the amount of $172,988 with CEMTEK Environmental, Inc., Santa Ana, for the Analyzer Project <br />Upgrade at the Clearwater Power Plant with a contract term ending July 1, 2024; and <br />(2) authorized the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Professional Consultant <br />Services Agreement with CEMTEK Environmental, Inc., including making minor and <br />nonsubstantive changes. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />DECLARE AS SURPLUS CITY -OWNED VACANT LAND FORMERLY KNOWN AS MAGNOLIA <br />SUBSTATION - SOUTHEASTERLY CORNER OF CENTRAL AVENUE BETWEEN NORTHBOUND EXIT OF <br />STATE ROUTE 91 FREEWAY AND AT&SF RAILWAY <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Member Heru and seconded by Member Oceguera <br />to recommend the City Council (1) approve the surplus declaration of approximately <br />
