CITY COUNCIL <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY <br />MINUTES <br />' TUESDAY, APRIL 27, 2021, 1 P.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />City gJ'Arts&Innovation PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Melendrez, Fierro, Conder, <br />Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Fierro. <br />Councilmember Fierro led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Malissa McKeith spoke regarding upcoming special Charter Review Committee meeting. <br />Tom Evans spoke regarding Charter Review Committee proposed amendment and <br />community issues survey. Jason Hunter spoke regarding Charter Review Committee <br />proposed amendment and the Parada case. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Perry reported on food distribution at Bryant Park. Councilmember <br />Edwards reported on Trujillo Adobe cleanup, Community Land Trust discussion at Housing <br />and Homelessness Committee, and worker's Memorial Day. Councilmember Melendrez <br />reported on Riverside Arts Academy spring festival. Mayor Lock Dawson thanked the <br />Chamber of Commerce for organizing a meeting on homelessness and reported on tour <br />of homeless collaborative at Hulen Place and the Big City Mayors conference addressing <br />homelessness. <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Lock Dawson presented a proclamation in partnership with the Human Relations <br />Commission to commemorate April as Celebrate Diversity Month. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE <br />The City Council received an update on Intergovernmental relations and legislation on <br />current Senate and Assembly Bills. <br />106-292 <br />
