CITY COUNCIL MEMBER,
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, WARD 2
ARAM AYRA
OCCUPATION: Health Educator
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
People don't get to choose where they are born, but they do get to choose
where they live. I chose to live in Riverside after graduating from UC
Riverside, because I see the potential that this great city has. As Human
Relations Commissioner & Director of Riverside Mutual Aid Network, I
have a proven record of delivering results for Riverside. My community
involvement includes: securing $40,000 for our local education systems,
helping establish Riverside's Little Free Pantries, and passing legislation
to improve local public health infrastructure.
Working on Riverside County's COVID-response team, I have seen the
effects of the pandemic on our essential workers, small businesses, and
vulnerable communities. Families are going hungry, frontline staff lack
hazard pay, and small businesses are struggling while corporate chains
collect record profits. It's time we prioritized our communities, that's why
I'm running a grassroots -funded campaign.
As Ward 2's representative, my top priorities include: ensuring equitable
distribution of COVID-19 resources, securing Hero Pay for frontline
workers, post-COVID local economic recovery that prioritizes small
business, and developing a budget stabilization plan that protects City
employees, services, and fiscal health.
I would be honored to earn your vote on June 811. www.ayra4riverside.com.
I am running for Riverside City Council to be a voice for all residents. I
will be accessible, responsive, and committed to address your needs.
We must stabilize University Avenue by addressing homelessness and
crime and providing businesses, including the new Air Resources Board
and UCR Medical School, with an environment in which they can flourish
to generate jobs for our residents.
Growing up, I watched my father Mark Paredes coach football at North
we were raised. I will ensure that all residents have the same opportunity
that Riverside has offered us.
