City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2021, 1 P.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />PUBLIC COMMENT VIA TELEPHONE <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Melendrez, Fierro, Conder, <br />Perry, and Hemenway, and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1 p.m. <br />The Invocation was given by Pastor Everette Jones. <br />Mayor Lock Dawson led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Jason Hunter commented on the 2021-22 Budget Cycle regarding staffing. Malissa <br />McKeith spoke regarding housing and employment, annual audit report, and items for <br />future agenda. Rich Gardner spoke regarding pod shelters at Path of Life and homeless <br />housing. One person and Errol Koschewitz spoke regarding Councilwoman Plascencia. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Conder reported on the death of District 2 Councilwoman Carla <br />Thornton of Moreno Valley and Morris Mendoza of Casa Blanca. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE <br />The Intergovernmental relations and legislative update was not held. <br />CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM CHALLENGE/FINANCIAL SOLVENCY <br />UPDATE <br />The City Council received an update on California Public Employees Retirement System <br />challenge/financial solvency. <br />HOMELESS SOLUTIONS UPDATE <br />The City Council received an update on homeless solutions. <br />HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY UPDATES <br />The City Council received an update on health, safety, and security. <br />106-204 <br />
