CITY COUNCIL <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY <br />MINUTES <br />• TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2021, 1 P.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />City 4Arts &Innovation PUBLIC COMMENT VIA TELEPHONE <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson and Councilmembers Edwards, Melendrez, Fierro, <br />Conder, Perry, and Hemenway, and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1 p.m. <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Fierro. <br />Mayor Lock Dawson led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Scott Andrews spoke regarding the homeless industrial complex, COVID vaccinations, <br />and the City Council meeting schedule. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards reported on office hours. Councilmember Melendrez reported <br />on Arci's Wholesale Drive-Thru Toy and Candy Giveaway event. Councilmember Fierro <br />encouraged local small business support. Councilwoman Plascencia thanked non- <br />profits, the Public Utilities and Fire Departments, and the community for support of families <br />in need through the holidays. Councilmember Perry thanked the community and <br />organizations for support of families in need, reported on the luncheon provided to Kaiser <br />ER staff by a local business, and announced Housing Element virtual meetings. Mayor <br />Lock Dawson reminded people to stay safe and support small businesses. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Lock Dawson presented a plaque to Councilmember Hemenway for dedicated <br />service as Mayor Pro Tem from July through December 2020. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Hemenway and seconded by <br />Councilmember Edwards to appoint Councilmember Perry as Mayor Pro Tem for January <br />through June 2021. The motion carried unanimously. <br />106-175 <br />
