6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br /> 13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br /> 15 <br /> <br /> 16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 20615 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS iNTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF <br /> PAYTON AVENUE BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY 910 FEET NORTH OF <br /> THE INTERSECTION OF PAYTON AVENUE WITH JURUPA AVENUE AND <br /> EXTENDING TO THE TERMINUS OF THE STREET, A DISTANCE OF <br /> APPROXIMATELY 850 FEET; AND SETT1NG THE DATE, HOUR AND PLACE <br /> OF HEARING, PURSUA~-~ :' TO THE PUBLIC STREETS, HIGHWAYS, AND <br /> SERVICE EASEMENTS VACATION LAW. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: <br />Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby declares that in Vacation <br />Case No. P03-0992, it is the intention of the City Council to vacate a portion of Payton Avenue, within <br />the City of Riverside, California for the reason that that portion of said street is unnecessary for present <br />or prospective public use. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Council hereby elects and expresses its election to proceed in Vacation <br />Case No. P03-0992 pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3 of the Public Streets, Highways, and Service <br />Easements Vacation Law, commencing with Section 8320 of the Streets and Highways Code of the <br />State of California. <br /> <br /> Section 3: Payton Avenue proposed to be vacated in Vacation Case No. P03-0992 is located <br />beginning approximately 910 feet north of the intersection of Payton Avenue with Jurupa Avenue and <br />extending to the terminus of the street, a distance of approximately 850 feet within the City of <br />Riverside, California, as more particularly described and depicted in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> Section 4: The date, hour, and place for heating all persons interested in the proposed <br />vacation of a portion of Payton Avenue in Vacation Case P03-0992 is set as March 2, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers of the Riverside City Council located adjacent to City Hall at 3900 Main <br />Street, Riverside, California. <br /> <br /> Section 5: At the hearing provided for in Section 4 hereof, the City Council shall determine <br />whether that portion of Payton Avenue is unnecessary for present or prospective use, and if so, the <br />reservations or exceptions from the vacation that public convenience and necessity require, if any, <br /> <br />City A~orney'sOffice <br />3900Main Street <br />Riversid~CA 92522 <br />(909) 826-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
