Nr RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES s Board Memorandum P U B L I C U r I i r i BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATE: SEPTEMBER 14, 2020 GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT ITEM NO: 12 SUBJECT: WA -12 AGRICULTURAL SERVICE WATER RATE REPORT— JULY 31, 2020 The City Council adopted the WA -12 Agricultural Service water rate schedule (WA -12) on October 15, 2019, with an effective date of January 1, 2020. As a result, the previous WA-3/WA-9 customers were required to apply for the new WA -12 water rate schedule effective January 1, 2020, or transition to another applicable rate. Potential new customers could begin submitting applications to be considered for the new WA -12 water rate schedule as of January 2, 2020. As of July 31, 2020, the WA -12 water rate schedule includes 207 customers of which 140 transitioned from the previous WA-3/WA-9. Nine previous WA-3/WA-9 customers transitioned off the WA -12 water rate schedule as of July 1, 2020 due to not complying with the requirements of the rate within the six-month timeframe. An estimated $349,049 of the annual program allocation of $684,000 has been allocated. Through July 31, 2020, customers used approximately 51 % of their allotted CCF, or 165,495 CCF out of the allotted 323,878 CCF, for the seven-month period.
