CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />3 p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />October 28, 2003 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />WORKSHOP <br /> <br />HOUSING PROJECT COMMITMENTS AND PRIORITIES <br />Following discussion, the City Council (1) received and ordered filed the <br />report relative to current housing project commitments and future housing <br />priorities; and (2) approved the current priorities and requested staff to return <br />with a comprehensive targeting and ranking proposal for City Council <br />approval. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 4:30 p.m. and reconvened at 6:15 p.m. <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Chair David M. Leonard reported on the activities of the Planning <br />Commission. Following discussion, the City Council thanked Mr. Leonard for <br />his report. <br /> <br />SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FIRES <br />Fire Chief Carlson reported on the fires in Southern California. City Manager <br />Caravalho reported on City employees who have been evacuated and who <br />have lost their homes. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Schiavone. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />The presentation of a Proclamation to Housing Project Coordinator Erin <br />Comstock declaring the week of October 19 through 25, 2003, as Lead <br />Poisoning Prevention Week, was not held. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Paul Piscatella spoke regarding the Downtown Neighborhood Advisory <br />Committee (NAC). Michael Morales spoke regarding Charter <br />Communications. Les Joslyn and Marjorie von Pohle spoke regarding <br />Measure G. Yolanda Garland and James Martin spoke regarding the Rancho <br />La Sierra Specific Plan Citizens Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the <br />presented. <br /> <br />Meeting of October 21, 2003, were approved as <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />89-159 <br /> <br /> <br />
