N �r s P U B L I C U r RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES Board Memorandum DATE: AUGUST 10, 2020 GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT ITEM NO: 8 SUBJECT: WA -12 AGRICULTURAL SERVICE WATER RATE REPORT— JUNE 30, 2020 The City Council adopted the WA -12 Agricultural Service water rate schedule (WA -12) on October 15, 2019, with an effective date of January 1, 2020. As a result, the previous WA-3/WA-9 customers were required to apply for the new WA -12 water rate schedule effective January 1, 2020, or transition to another applicable rate. Potential new customers could begin submitting applications to be considered for the new WA -12 water rate schedule as of January 2, 2020. As of June 30, 2020, the WA -12 water rate schedule includes 212 customers of which 149 transitioned from the previous WA-3/WA-9. Eight previous WA-3/WA-9 customers will be transitioning off the WA -12 water rate schedule as of July 1, 2020 due to not complying with the requirements of the rate within the six-month timeframe. An estimated $350,969 of the annual program allocation of $684,000 has been allocated. Through June 30, 2020, customers used approximately 49% of their allotted CCF, or 125,318 CCF out of the allotted 256,569 CCF, for the six-month period.
