Stapler for Mayor <br />Andy Melendrez for Mayor <br />Rich Gardner for Mayor <br />That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given in the City <br />to each of said persons above named for the respective offices for which said persons were <br />candidates are listed on the attached Exhibit "A". <br />Section 5: That the City Council does declare and determine that for the Office of the <br />Mayor, no candidate received a majority of the total votes cast. That candidate Andy Melendrez <br />received the highest and candidate Patricia Lock Dawson the next highest number of votes cast <br />for Mayor of the City of Riverside. That pursuant to Section 400 of the Charter of the City of <br />Riverside, the City Council shall call a Special Election to be held on November 3, 2020, at <br />which time the names of these candidates shall appear on the ballot, to wit: <br />Patricia Lock Dawson for Mayor <br />Andy Melendrez for Mayor <br />and the candidate receiving the highest number of votes at said Special Election for the above- <br />named office shall be elected Mayor of the City of Riverside. <br />Section 6: That the City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of said City <br />a statement of the results of the General Municipal election held on March 3, 2020, showing: <br />(1) The whole number of votes cast in the City; <br />(2) The names of the persons voted for; <br />(3) The office each person was voted for; <br />(4) The number of votes given at each precinct to each of said persons; and <br />(5) The number of votes given in the City to each of said persons. <br />-2- <br />
