1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE <br />3900 i,IAIN STREET <br />RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />(951) 826-5567 <br />WHEREAS, on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the County of Riverside submitted an <br />attestation application to the Governor Gavin Newsom of California requesting approval for the <br />County of Riverside to move into the later stages of Stage 2 of the Governor's Resilience <br />Roadmap; and <br />WHEREAS, on Friday, May 22, 2020, the Governor of California approved the <br />attestation application and allowed the County of Riverside to allow specific business sectors, <br />including dine -in restaurants (i.e. brewpubs, craft distilleries, breweries, bars, pubs, restaurants <br />and wineries) and shopping centers (malls, destination shopping centers, strip and outlet malls, <br />and swap meets) to move into the later stages of Stage 2 of the Governor's Resilience Roadmap; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has identified the need for flexible, creative and <br />innovative approaches to assist local dine -in restaurants as they will not be able to achieve <br />normal occupancy levels given physical distancing requirements and other modifications deemed <br />necessary for public health. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED by the <br />Director of Emergency Services of the City of Riverside pursuant to Governor Gavin Newsom's <br />variance granted to the County of Riverside on May 26, 2020, all brewpubs, craft distilleries, <br />breweries, bars, pubs, restaurants and wineries are hereby authorized to re -open for inside dining <br />but must follow the Governor's requirements and guidelines as detailed in the Governor's May <br />12, 2020, COVID-19 Industry Guidance for Dine -In Restaurants. To further provide for the <br />economic recovery of our local restaurants, out -door dining is allowed and encouraged subject to <br />the following protocols and expedited review, as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference.
